Celebrating Our Peacemakers
Each year, Pins for Peace recognizes individuals and organizations whose contributions reflect the power of peacemaking, connection, and community service. We were proud to honor this year's recipients at our 40th anniversary celebration.

After retiring as an Attorney Referee with Ottawa County Family Court, Pat began volunteering as a general civil mediator with DRCWM. She is passionate about helping people communicate respectfully, find common ground, and reach solutions that work for everyone. Her decades of community service reflect her ongoing commitment to helping others.
Kaufman Interfaith Institute
Community Peacemaker
For nearly two decades, Grand Valley State University's Kaufman Interfaith Institute has built relationships across religious and cultural differences throughout West Michigan. Through conversations, educational programs, and community partnerships, the Institute fosters understanding, strengthens connections, and helps people work together across differences.
